Wellington, city and museum trip

9 March 2011

We woke up at the great campsite here in Levin, which is in the South West of Manawatu-Wanganui. The campsite was clean and had separate showers, which looked like private cabins for washing and showering. The best seen so far, while the other campsites were good as well. We had breakfast with toasted bread and went off to Wellington. Still a 1.5 hour drive and we arrived precise at a little before 10am, when the museum opened its doors. THE museum I should write. Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa, a free and one of the largest national museum in the world. We spent almost 4 hours roaming around. Outside walking in the city with its nice shops was good too. We checked in at the Motor in Hotel. Refreshed and went to a by Lonely Planet recommended Japanese restaurant. That was indeed awesome food. Made sure to backup all pictures and load all electrical machines now that we had our own hotel room, ready for the next weeks, on the South. `cause the next day we will take the 8:30am Ferry to the south.
